3-Term Clerk retires from Casco Township

Cheryl Brenner, who was first elected Clerk of Casco Township in 2012, concluded her service with the Township after 3 four-year terms. Monday November 18 was her last Board meeting.

Supervisor Allan Overhiser honored Brenner with a spoken tribute, describing her as someone "willing to try new things." Brenner's leadership as Clerk included adapting to a major software change implemented early in her first term, overseeing up to four elections per year, implementing an absent voter ballot counting board, and establishing procedures to conduct nine days of early voting at the Township Hall, in compliance with changes in election law.

Brenner got her start at the Township by serving on the Board of Review. In thinking of her time as Clerk, Brenner said she was "happy to work for Casco residents and with a respectful Board."

Cheryl "Cheri" Brenner received a standing ovation from the gathered public. Following the meeting, refreshments were provided by Kim Overhiser, Debbie Wilson, and Debbie Weaver.
