Casco Township Primary Election Results from August 4, 2026

More than a third of Casco Township's registered voters voted in Tuesday's primary election. Unofficial results show 962 votes cast out of 2,696 registered voters for a voter turnout of 35.68%.


All ballot proposals passed. The proposals included two road millages and two senior millages--one for Allegan County services and one for programs provided to Casco Township residents through Senior Services of Van Buren County.

Casco Township Treasurer Kenny Clevenger fell short of winning the Republican nomination for State Senate in District 20. The District contains parts of Allegan, Van Buren, Kent, and Berrien Counties.



While Clevenger received the most votes in Allegan County, he lost by 152 votes to Chris Moraitis overall. In Allegan County (unofficial results) Clevenger received 4,714 votes to Moraitis' 2,478. As the totals show, Moraitis prevailed to win the Republic nomination.



A majority of Casco Township voters chose the Democratic side of the ballot for this primary. The race for US Senator on the Democratic side garnered 503 votes, compared with the Republican side of the ballot, where the most votes were cast for Governor, 433 total votes.

Casco Township voters had the option to vote using an Absentee ballot, in person eleven days prior to the primary, or in person on Primary Election Day. Voting takes place at the Casco Township Hall, 7104 107th Avenue.
