Casco Centennial Farming family Allan and Kim Overhiser plan to welcome their first two grandchildren later this Spring, both boys. Daughter Kortny Scovill and daughter in law Morgan Overhiser were recently celebrated with a dual baby shower held at the Casco United Methodist Church on March 1.
It's not the first time for multiples in the Overhiser family. Kortny is one of the quadruplets born to Allan and Kim Overhiser in 1998. In thanking those gathered for the shower, Kim Overhiser reflected on how helpful the community was after the quads were born, marveling, "Now they're having babies of their own!"
The shower featured a farming theme in honor of the Overhisers' long time presence as fruit farmers, operating a u-pick and retail store at the corner of 109th Avenue and 64th, also known as Breezy Hill.
Sister Kelsy Overhiser, one of the quads, helped host the shower. Both Kelsy and Kortny are employed by Fennville Public Schools; Kelsy Overhiser teaches art at the Middle School and Kortny Scovill, MA, CTRS is a postsecondary path coach for Fennville Public High School. Morgan Overhiser teaches special education at the elementary level for Hamilton Community Schools.
Morgan Overhiser is married to quadruplet Alex Overhiser, who is now running Overhiser Orchards alongside his parents. They live on 64th St in Casco.
Kortny and her husband Aaron Scovill are residents of 62nd St in Casco Township.
