Site visits underway by Northrop Assessing

A knock at my door last week meant my home was the subject of a site visit from Northrop Assessing. Led by Corey Northrop, pictured above, the team measured my house and outbuildings to update the Casco Township assessing database. Northrop was wearing an identifying lanyard and carried a tablet into which he entered data.
Because I was home and answered the door, Corey asked a couple of clarifying questions about my dwelling. If I had not been home to answer, he would've left a postcard, pictured below, that shows the information needed. He did not ask to enter my home and will not need to enter any residence in the Township.
Polite and focused, Corey Northrop and his team will be physically showing up to measure the exterior of all homes and buildings on parcels over the next 18-24 months.
The process includes a postcard sent to the homeowner prior to the visit, as the site visits will be phased in over a two year period.
Earlier in 2025, the Casco Township Board of Trustees authorized the reassessment process which is ideally conducted every ten years.
Northrop Assessing is a subcontractor doing the home visits. The Casco Township Assessor is Kelly Jellison of Assessing Solutions Inc.
