The CHOP trucks have been on Casco roads over the past several weeks, working under contract with Consumers Energy to clear brush and trees away from electric lines in a ten to twenty foot right of way.
According to a CHOP crew member, the trimming hasn't been done in some areas in thirty years. They expect to be trimming in the area until September.
Generally CHOP crew members mark trees with an x (removal) or dot (trim) and inform homeowners of the upcoming trimming activity.

A representative from www.We-CHOP.com did not return a call requesting additional information.
